Leaks must frustrated Axl, but display his brilliance

For Axl Rose and the members of Guns N Roses that have worked so hard over the years on Chinese Democracy, it must be extremely frustrating when their music leaks out prematurely. Not only do leaks hamper their ability to properly market and promote the music how they see fit, but the tracks themselves usually appear in demo form. It’s like pulling back that curtain to reveal an incomplete sculpture. No artist wants to show his/her work until they are ready and satisfied with the final product.

Axl has spent years tinkering with perfection, and to many, they will take new music from him in whatever form it appears. So leaked demos are heavenly occurrence for guns fans…The latest leaks maybe demos, but they are the best sounding demos I have ever heard. If I were a betting man I’d say these songs are 90% there, add some more Bumblefoot, adjust the sound levels here and there, bring Axl’s vocals up a bit in certain parts and call it a day.

Will Chinese Democracy live up to the hype? Will the wait have been worth it? Did Axl take Guns N Roses in the right direction? After listening to what I suspect is the much-hyped track Prostitute, the answer to all of those questions is unequivocally - YES!

There will be many rock "journalists" that will be force-fed crow after hearing this album.

GNR will arrive to reclaim rock back from all of these emo pussies!

And the leaks prove that the album does exist and that his genius will on full display very soon.

GNR FOREVER!!

I think Axl had something to do with the leaks... it´s kinda like a focus group for him.

The world needs more GNR, i really hope he releases Chinese Democracy this year.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter how good Chinese Democracy is, it will never be 15+ years in the making good. Chinese Democracy could be as good as Sgt. Peppers, Exile On Main Street, Dark Side Of the Moon and Highway 61 Revisited combined and it will still be critisized for taking so long. My opinion is, from the music I've heard, this will be a very good record. But the real importance of this record will be the circumstances involved in getting this record to materialize. Let's face it. The making of, and circumstances surrounding Chinese Democracy is unprecendented. Never has an album taken this long to complete and release, never has an artist/band (as popular as GN'R version 1) had this long a gap in between records coupled with the vast difference in musical landscapes. When GN'R were at their height there was barely an internet let alone anything called file sharing. Thirteen million dollars spent on making an album when file sharing did not exist and still not released in a time when file sharing is running rampant and will possibly be the demise of the present music ditribution model. This is a hugley important record artistically and culturally. Everyone who is interested in music on an emotional level as well as a means of support is watching what this record will do when and if it actually gets a released date. Chinese Democracy can single handedly be the example that people in the industry use to decide whether they should go on the way they are, change dramatically or leave the businesss all together. this is a major event wether you are a GN'R fan or not. this album represents something so much bigger! to so many people.

It doesn't matter if it's "15 years in the making good". Most people aren't f-n retarded and will judge it in a proper context.

Chances are, they'll hear it, be taken aback by it, but eventually embrace the change.

Then the other albums will hopefully come. Thus solidifying a trilogy or more that will be "15 years good..."
