It's been confirmed by multiple sources now that the VH1 story I was sent was in fact incorrect. Seems a fan offered a $1,000, not a million. Only off by $999,000. Ant thus the wonder that is internet news these days, you never know what to believe.
MAN WILLING TO PAY BIG BUCKS TO HEAR AXL
We recently reported that Dr Pepper would give everyone in America a free soda if Axl Rose releases the long delayed Guns N’ Roses album Chinese Democracy by the end of the year. Now, a wealthy fan is sweetening the soda-pop pot. According to an online post, the eager fan wrote, “I am willing to pay one-million dollars to charity if Guns N’ Roses, their management or other ‘interested parties’ provide me with a previously unleaked demo off of the band’s long-awaited Chinese Democracy. It must be in its entirety – and with Axl’s vocals. I am willing to pre-pay in advance via Paypal.” No word Axl or is people have accepted the offer. Guns N’ Roses has reportedly been working on Chinese Democracy since 1995.

Its actually $1500
No, that's incognito. this is someone completely different.
Are you sure this is someone completely different? Because the message they quote is exactly the same as incognito's, except that it says one million dollars instead of $1000 or $1500 which ever it was.
Either this is BS, or someone is simply getting the details of the two (and I admit similar) situations mixed up.
It's the incognito message.
someone replaced 1500 with a million... HOW can someone do that..
it's like hiring a person at a newspaper to right stories, collums.. and he cant read or has trouble with typing...
Whatever the truth of the situation, if DR Pepper had made an offer like this the it would make things a whole lot more interesting. Maybe they can repeat their offer along this lines?
I'll offer $3,000 for an unheard song.
