The end is near. GNR management has visited Best Buy and sampled 3 tracks to build excitement. Shackler's is on Rock Band 2 and If The World will appear during the credits of the new DiCaprio/Crowe movie Body of Lies on October 10. All of this can only mean one thing: the album is coming, but when?
Travel to www.mygnrforum.com and you'll visit my online home for the past 10 years. These folks love GNR more than life itself, but they've been burned more times than a California forest. They've seen releases dates come and go like political promises, but unlike the past 7 years, this time, it just seems real. The date that keeps popping up is November 25, the tuesday before Thanksgiving. The album is to be a Best Buy exclusive (not sure if that means iTunes also gets it), nonetheless, fans would fish this album out of dumpster if it were meant hearing the first original work from Axl in 17 years!
To the fans, enjoy this time. You've all waited so patiently and been through a lot of let downs, but having heard some of what will be on Chinese D, the wait will have been worth it. We're getting the soda ready on our end and on November 25, hopefully we'll all be toasting to Chinese Democracy together. Peace,

Is it really real??? This journey is unparalleled and it is amazing that the end is almost over.
Personally, this is an unfinished part of my childhood that is finally coming to fruition. I was still in high school when work was first started on the next album....and now, here we are...a chapter of my life will officially be completed. I eagerly await the moment to breathe that sigh of relief.
This is GUARANTEED to arrive this year and I'll be drinking some 23 sweet flavors while I'm listening.

I hope 'Chinese Democracy' will be "Dr Pepper for the ears," just as Jaxie Alt said in the press release. Man, I hope that saying catches on.
Regardless, it seems like we'll have several things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving: 'Chinese Democracy' and a free can of Dr Pepper. Sweet.
If you go to Best Buy's website, they have the album posted. It's going to be released with two different album covers options, and also on VINYL! Disc is listed at $13.99....vinyl at $19.99. As of right now, they only show one of the album covers, a plain sepia photo with a bicycle with a big ass wicker basket laced to the front of it, with the band's name and the album name listed on the side. Go to bestbuy.com and check it out. Just type in "Chinese Democracy" and you'll see...
